Overview

Hayden Show Jumping is a full-service
show barn addressing the needs of all levels
of riders and horses. To meet the needs of
our advanced clients, we train all levels of
sport horses and riders up to Grand Prix.
To address the needs of our beginner riders
and young children, we maintain a riding
school with a variety of horses and ponies.

Mickey Hayden at the Helm
Mickey Hayden oversees all aspects
of the barn including training, care services,
shows, lessons, and our levels program.
Mickey has over 25 years experience as a
trainer and has successfully brought his
riders to the highest levels of medals, equitation,
and show jumping competitions.
Mickey has been operating out of the Nellie Gail Equestrian Center since 1992 and sums his business up this way: “This is more than a business. It is a place for horsemen and their families to come together, excel, and create a fulfilling lifestyle. While excellence is always sought in the sport, it is the people and the horses that matter. We are fortunate to be surrounded by good people and good staff. They make all the difference in the world.”
Mickey has a gift with horses and riders, and it is not uncommon for him to attact an audience during his lessons and training sessions. Viewers can always gain insights and inspiration watching horses and riders transition from challenged to competent.

Spectrum of Shows
Hayden Show Jumping regularly
participates in numerous “A” shows and a few county level shows. We have recently added participation in the Orange County Interscholastic Equestrian League (IEL) at the request of our many middle school and high school riders. In addition, we conduct weekend home shows about three times per year. These provide an introduction to showing for our beginners and are good practice for our more experienced riders. They are both practical and fun.

Nellie Gail Equestrian Center
We are fortunate to be located in the beautiful Nellie Gail Equestrian Community near the 73 tollroad and the 5 freeway. This 96-stall facility has two riding and turnout arenas, one dressage arena, a large covered Euro Walker, two bullpens, two sunning pens, and miles and miles of scenic, well-maintained trails. The Nellie Gail Equestrian Center is a truly peaceful country oasis centrally located in otherwise hectic, south Orange County. For a map and directions go to the “Contact Us” section.
